Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow: Get Started Creating a Photo Legacy

Do you find yourself overwhelmed with the treasure trove of photographs that span generations of your family? Are you the designated (on purpose or by default) family archivist, in-charge of preserving your family’s history? Are you contemplating downsizing and facing the daunting challenge of what to do with all of your own cherished memories? Are you just simply overwhelmed with all of the photos on your phone?

Today, we live in a world inundated with photographs, from physical prints tucked away in dusty albums to digital images buried deep within the digital labyrinth of our devices. Navigating this intersection of the physical and digital eras can be a daunting task.

But fret not, because help is at hand! Join us for an enlightening presentation that addresses the questions you may have about how to manage alllllll of the things:

Yesterday: How to lovingly curate and preserve those cherished heritage photos and memorabilia that connect you to your roots.

Today: Tackling the chaos of the modern digital age, where countless photos and videos clamor for our attention and preservation.

Tomorrow: How to ensure that your family's memories endure for future generations, even when you have too many images to handle on your own.

About The Speaker:

Sue Triggs-Rhuda

Sue Triggs-Rhuda is a Certified Professional Photo Manager based in Wakefield, MA, and the Owner of Modern Memorykeeper, LLC. Professional Photo Organizing. In her former life, she spent 20 years in the apparel business as a product manager and designer in New York City and Boston, MA. A graduate degree in interior design and a stint as a commercial interior designer further expanded her design and project management skills. Years of raising a family while continuing freelance, contract and volunteer work kept her project management and design skills at the fore.

With an extensive personal photo and memorabilia collection spanning generations of her family, and two generations of family who worked at Eastman Kodak Co., Sue embraced the mantle of “Family Archivist” working with family scrapbooks, slides and memorabilia. With many items dating back over 100 years, she has been excited to be able to preserve these photos for the generations to come, and to be able to contribute some of her family’s documents to organizations and museums to help tell the stories of the communities her ancestors helped to build.

Her family archives launched her on her journey to start her own business helping other families preserve their memories and tell their stories. She is thrilled to be able combine a lifetime of expertise in various fields to help her clients overcome their photo overwhelm, organize their family photos and preserve their family memories.

Sue lives north of Boston, Massachusetts, almost empty nesting with her husband Charlie. When she’s not helping people organize their photos, she’s making magic out of fabric and yarn, attempting to garden, and walking her dog, Shadow. She loves living near the ocean, in the footsteps of her New England ancestors, and in her favorite part of the country.
